Green emerald damselfly 1 (Lestes viridis)

August 22, an afternoon at a remote pond. This bug was not very skittish, so it was not very difficult to shoot an image of it.

Green emerald damselfly 2

August 22, an afternoon at a remote pond. A Green emerald damselfly sits still on the edge of a leaf. Clearly the presence of water and trees makes this an ideal place for these insects to live.
