"What a desolate place would be a world without a flower! It would be a face without a smile, a feast without a welcome. Are not flowers the stars of the earth, and are not our stars the flowers of heaven?"  Mrs. Clara Lucas Balfour

Malcolmia flexuosa (family: Brassicaceae)

Malcolima flexuosa is a seasonal plant which is usually found along the Mediterranean coastline, rooted on sandy substrates. It is very common from Turkey to Portugal along with M. littorea and M. matirima. In Greece it is usually found on the coasts of islands and the south part of the country, close to rocks which are wetted by droplets from the sea. Its beautiful flowers come out close to each other and create a very pleasing image, like a colourful carpet.
