"Photography is not about cameras, gadgets and gismos. Photography is about photographers. A camera didn't make a great picture any more than a typewriter wrote a great novel." Peter Adams

Greek armored cruiser Georgios Averof Georgios Averof was the flagship of the Greek Navy at the beginning of the 20th Century. Known as a battleship, the ship is actually an armored cruiser - the only such ship still in existence. She is named after George Averof, a Greek benefactor who assisted in paying for her. Georgios Averof was restored as a museum In 1984. The ship has - todate - an active service status and is therefore honourarily greeted by every Greek ship entering or leaving her station. All photos were taken during a tour on this ship. When you see everything in top notch condition, as if the ship awaits her next crew and mission, your mind travels many years in the past, when this ship was the true master of the Aegean Sea. Even today, when you step out, you can see its majestic silhouette against the sky and admire the ship in all its glory. Photos
