Church of the Holy Apostles Ancient (Agora, Athens, Greece)

The Church of the Holy Apostles was built in the 11th century AD and is currently the only standing Byzantine monument in the Ancient Agora. During Easter we had the opportunity to visit the place and take some shots of the interior. Use of flash is not permitted in order to preserve the remaining frescos therefore a camera with high ISO was chosen for the task. We selected a photo of the altar backlit by the sun coming through the window, a photo of the dome showing the remaining frescos and a side view of the altar showing the remainders of the frescos on the surrounding walls.
