"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." Dorothea Lange

Amphiprion bicinctus (Common name: Red Sea Anemonfish, Two-banded anemonefish)

The Red sea anemonefish is a spectacularly colourful fish, with vivid black, white and yellow stripes, though the exact pattern shows considerable geographical variation. There are normally two white bands, one behind the eye and one above the anus. The tail fin may be white or yellow, but is always lighter than rest of the body. Either as a colony or as individuals, this fish is stunning and a delight to photograph.
