"Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the leash. That one is the cat."  Mark Twain

Felis silvestris (common name: Wild Cat)

We are both attracted to felines. Whether lazily enjoying the sun, running or just looking at you they have regal looks. Confidence and pride is written all over them. This wild cat was hiding amongst the tall grass blades for a while; eventually we captured its attention and came out to watch us. We took a number of shots; these three were the most aesthetically pleasing. The colour combination was the decisive factor for the first photo; the eyes of the cat match the grass while its fur matches the tree. In the second photo the cat looks alert; it just noticed a bird flying low on the grass. Its expression soon changed. In the third photo, still watching the bird flying, it knows it is already out of reach.
