Lake Stymphalia Lake Stymphalia is located in the north-eastern part of the Peloponnese, in the Corinthia prefecture. It is a wetlands area used for farming. The area is fairly dry in winter; in spring the water level rises due to the melting snow from the surrounding mountains, transforming part of the area to a lake. We visited the area in spring; a heavy morning mist resulted in some very interesting photos. During a second, winter, visit the conditions were less favourable: heavy clouds and some rain. However, the appearance of some huge bird flocks (sterlings ?) forming ever changing shapes was the highlight. Photos by Marina Parha and George J. Reclos Shooting data: 1. Camera: Nikon D3x 2.
