Chelifer candroides (Superfamily: Cheliferoidea; common name: False scorpion, Book scorpion) This pseudoscorpion is in fact an arachnid. Members of this species are beneficial to humans as they prey on harmful insects such as booklice, ants, mites, small flies and various types of house larvae.
