Macro and Nature

This category celebrates nature. It contains photos of various life forms and sceneries, some of which have been taken at high magnification ratios (less than 0.5X real size). Nature and life in particular are always fascinating and in some cases these photos show details invisible to the naked eye.

The category contains different subcategories, e.g. mammals, birds,  insects etc.  Hoping to show the beauty of the natural world - something we all see daily but often overlook - we have arranged the photos in thematic albums. Click on a link (on the left, Main Menu column) to see the photo albums in the relevant subcategory.

When you open a photo album you can see the high resolution images by clicking on each thumbnail. Please note that some of the files are really large (sometimes larger than 1 MB) so pages may take a while to download, depending on your connection speed.
