Malawi Cichlid Tanks
Malawi Cichlid Tanks

I was born in Rome (where I live and work) in 1967. From a young age I loved country and nature photography, landscapes, plants and animals. As I grew up I developed a passion for these.
I started keeping fish in 1995. Five years later I had a turning point: I fell in love with Malawi Lake Cichlids and became interested not only in keeping but also studying them. In this pursuit I found a great teacher in my good friend Francesco Zezza. In the meantime my family grew. In 2002 my first son was born followed shortly by my second and finally my third boy in 2005. Being with them meant spending most of my time - outside work hours - at home. This gave me the opportunity to devote some of this time to my hobby, so my tanks over the years expanded to ten. My biggest tank currently is a 350 lit one where I breed haps.
Below are some photos of my tanks:
In addition to the above I currently have two growing out tanks (75 and 80 lit) and three outside tanks (40, 80 and 200 lit respectively).
Other interests include 'simple' carnivorous plants like Sarracenia, Drosera and others.
A dream? To have, one day, my own, wonderful, real "fish room"! Oh, and visit Lake Malawi ....
