"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead .. his eyes are closed." Albert Einstein

Butterflies in shades of white (Insecta: Lepidoptera) What really impressed me is the intense black markings along the hard parts of the wings, the hundreds of tiny black spots on the wings which, when seen against the white base color make this butterfly unique. Butterflies in shades of white II We have shot these butterflies in a number of different locations. White butterflies have not got the breathtaking beauty of some of the colourful species yet they are extremely attractive as they have an air of innocence and elegance about them. Enjoy them.
