Falco tinnunculus (Family: Falconidae; common name: Common Kestrel)
This Falco tinnunculus was found in West Peloponnese, Greece. All the photos show a female bird except the second one which shows a male. The third photo shows the typical hunting behaviour of these birds, which is to hover at a height of around 10–20 metres over open country and swoop down on prey. In the fourth, fifth and sixth photos the female shows her prey, possibly to attract the male. We observed the two birds being quite close however, at this stage, they did not mate.
