Podiceps cristatus (common name: Great Crested Grebe)

This is the greatest and most common grebe found in UK and it was no wonder that some of them were found at Sale Park (just out of Manchester). During our shooting day we saw a lot of them but the birds knew very well how to keep their distance. The fact that the longest tele we had with us was 200 mm made things worse. After spending the whole day there we managed to take a nice shot of one of them during sunset. Thank God it was July so we had a really long day there.

Great Crested Grebe II

I liked the reflections and the colours of this photo. I cropped the photo to get a larger photo in a nice composition.
