Poicephalus senegalus (Order: Psittaciformes; Family: Psittacidae; common name: Senegal  parrot)

These parrots are amongst the most active birds in the zoo. When they are not eating or playing they will come to the front of the cage and look at the visitors. The contrast of the black colouration with the colours of the second parrot  made this jaw lock a moment to capture. The same contrast of colours is seen with the orange in the second photo.
