Agelena orientalis (Family: Agelenidae) This is a classic funnel web spider forming a large flat web which forms a funnel at one end. The spider ambushes its pray at the far end of the funnel. When it senses something on its web it runs and drags it in the funnel. It is a tropical / subtropical species which ranges from North Italy to Central Asia.
