Preservation In the Wild

According to the Endangered Species International Organisation 10-25 species go extinct every year. This  is due to human activities: habitat destruction, invasive species, human overpopulation, pollution and overharvesting are the main reasons resulting in what is reported to be the sixth mass extinction on Earth. In addition to particular animals whole ecosystems are threatened: scientists predict the future of coral reefs to be inauspicious.

This biological catastrophe will eventually affect humans too. We are not the masters of our ecosystem; we are a part of it.  We depend on it as much as it depends on us. Respect for the life of other species is respect for our own life.

Preservation in the wild projects are coordinated efforts to help endangered species survive in their natural habitats thus maintaining the biodiversity which is essential for our ecosystem. We will strive to provide information of what happens where in this category.
