Aquarium Preservation

Species already extinct in the wild can only be preserved in aquaria. Aquarium preservation programmes may also seek the preservation, in captivity, of rare or endangered species.

MCH supports wholeheartedly preservation initiatives. We feel very strongly that we have a duty to help species survive, particularly as most of them are endangered due to human activities.

We strongly encourage all aquarists to devote a tank to endangered, extinct or rare species. By uniting forces we can make a difference in protecting the aquatic biodiversity of our planet.

In this category you will find links to Aquarium Preservation initiatives. Information and updates are also available. For further information, advice on how to link with other hobbyists owning a particular species etc please contact The Webmaster.
