A word from MCH

MCH Portal is devoted to the celebration of Nature. In our Aquatic Life and Fishkeeping sections there are photos and information about aquatic species in their natural habitat and suggestions about keeping and breeding these in captivity. Our Photography section contains photos of beautiful landscapes and animals as well as articles about taking photos. In The Miracle of Life there are photos and articles relating to observing, keeping and looking after animal and plant species. MCH Portal also contains links to similar sites. Photography, fishkeeping and treating other life forms with the respect they deserve are arts so we chose the painting of the Italian artist Kho to represent them in our logo.
We live on a beautiful planet. Love of nature, animals and plants is not just necessary for us to be able to live our life to the full; it is also contagious. We sincerely hope that through these pages more people will appreciate the beauty of the world as we do and will join the MCH family. To continue reading through the site press any link.

Our warmest seasons greetings to you and yours. May the New Year bring everybody Happiness and Prosperity. We chose Nikon, a kitten found stray and living rough, now having a loving home, to send our Christmas message this year. Whatever else you do please spend a moment to give a little hope and happiness to those less fortunate than you. Support your favourite charity; a small donation goes a long way to help people or animals in need.

This month we are welcoming two new members in the MCH family, Nikos Athanasiou and Kiriakos Kontadakis.

Nikos is a pharmacist and motorcyclist. He has been taking photos since childhood; four years ago he decided to concentrate on photography as a means of self-expression. He enjoys riding his motorcycle, often travelling long distance. Most of his photos are taken during these trips. His photos capture whatever attracts his attention, be it sceneries, wildlife, portraits, works of art, buildings or monuments and landmarks. Through his lens he is trying to share with friends his interpretation and impressions of the world he sees, which is a strong motive to always strive to improve his photos. 

Kiriakos is a veterinary practitioner  with two big loves. Aviation (military and civil) and animals. Besides his clinical work (specializing in Small Animal Reproduction and Exotic Pet Medicine) he has published several articles and photos of cynologic and veterinary content in scientific journals and magazines. Always practicing and learning photography, he focuses on purebred dogs, military aircraft and occasionally wildlife and nature.
